ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Yalanda D. Comeaux, MSN, M.J., RN, CMSRN, is a seasoned expert in the field of nursing. She started her nursing career as an ADN (Associate Degree Nurse). She currently holds a Master’s in Nursing degree with a focus on Education.
She has more than 20 years of nursing experience with 30 years in the healthcare industry. During this time she has worked in various capacities in nursing from clinical nurse, management, and nursing education with the majority of her nursing background concentrated in the area of fast-paced environments like Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing, where she currently works as a clinical nurse. She also has work experience in areas of Critical Care (ICU), and Medical-Surgical nursing.
She is an adjunct faculty member for a School Of Nursing (SON) in the Chicago area teaching Medical-Surgical nursing to BSN and ABSN students in a clinical setting and is a CMSRN, Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse. The author also holds a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law (MJ) and Policy from Loyola University School of Law, Chicago.
She enjoys reading, traveling abroad, watching and playing tennis, and being a foodie. She is married and resides with her husband outside of the Chicago metro area.
